Search is not working correctly - VM2.0.2/SEO

Hi All,

I am having a problem with search results with VM2.0.2 and Joomla 1,7 with SEF enabled.

1) if i do a search via the VM search module the url is
     www....com/component/virtuemart/search?keyword=glove&limitstart=0&option=com_virtuemart&view=category
    but when i click on the next page the url is
      www....com/component/virtuemart/results,13-24/search/glove

2) If I do a search via the module I get a results of 27 ( so page 1 of 3 is 1 - 12 of 27  ( 12 per page)
If i then go to page 2 then do another search the page is not reset to page 1

3) also some times say for instance I search for "ar" i get results 1 - 12 of 301
   but the page only shows 4?

Any help would be much appreciated.

Hi Mark,

Did you try changing configuration of VM2.0 ?
if not then goto this link

yourwebsite.com/administrator/index.php?option=com_virtuemart&view=config


Under "Shopfront" look for "Max products per view in frontend" that should be 12 in your case i guess

And Under "Templates" look for "Default number of products in a row" that should be 4 in your case.

Hey there, i have a problem with search component too.
VM 2.0.2 Joomla 2.5.0 (soon update to 2.5.1

If I enter something into search and press enter I get some found products as requested.
Everything works fine but the menu component disappears (and all other components and modules too!)
I found out, that I activated the menu component just for some special sites like -> shop

So the menu is only viewable when I am in shop.
My guess is, that if I enter a search, my template (allrounder 1.6)  does not recognize that I am still in the shop. Thats why the menu dissappears.
When I mark my menu available on all sites, it is also available when I search.
But if I mark the menu to be able on selected sites, it will disappear again when I search a product


Hope somebody can help.
