Help with Taxes

Hi, I have VM2.

I live in Australia, as such I need to charge taxes on my Australian customer purchases.

I have configured that 10% taxes needed to be made to Australians only.

However I have noticed that the taxes are being calculated in the shopping cart before a user registers. The taxes are only removed when a customer registers as being from another country (i.e. USA)

Is there a way that the taxes can be calculated after a user registers or log's into their account?

I'd love to see help with this as well. Shoppers get scared away when they see a tax that shouldn't apply to them during checkout.
