After Migration Menu Item Type Component 'com_virtuemart' does not exist

So, after a migration all of my Virtuemart menu items show Component 'com_virtuemart' does not exist in the Menu Item Type field. I changed one menu item manually and set it to VirtueMart » Category Layout. Works, but only if all SEF are set to no. Also, all VM menu items are set to Unpublished - assuming because of the missing Type. And, all menu items set this way default to a VM home page when clicked.

My Questions:

1. Is there a path fix or some automated way to fix the Menu Type issue?
2. Can we use Joomla SEF with VM Joomla! 2.5.7?

Note that I did modify the htaccess file properly as I am not developing in root. Still no fix.

I suppose you will have to re-create all menu items manually again, because the menus are Joomla stuff which the VM2 migrator probably doesn't handle. (I never tried to use the migrator myself)
You may try to click on "Install tables and if necessary update them" in VM2 'Tools and Migration', but I don't know if this helps to solve your problem - just an idea.
Joomla SEF and VM2 SEF have both need to be enabled if you want to use it, but I think you first have get your menus working again, before you turn SEF on.

Thanks. The install / update doesn't do anything for the menus. I was hoping for a SQL solution - run this script and done...

Anyway, off topic just a bit, for those afraid to try it, the VM migrator works VERY well, if you follow the instructions exactly. I make this comment because I just got screwed by a "virtuemart expert" who said it was impossible to migrate my products. He charged me to do them all (1200) manually. I recently had some time to check it myself - and in a couple of hours - everything transferred. Well except for attributes and additional images. It would have been 2 days instead of 6...

I'm not shure, but I would suggest to check if you have a 'Shop' menu item with the menu item type 'Front Page' in your main menu. If not create one.
Your screenshot shows the 'Organic Eearrings' with the menu item type 'Virtuemart » Category', which looks correct. Can you open the other menu items and set those to 'Virtuemart » Category', too? Don't forget to select the category you want to display in menu item settings.

The Organic earning shows green as It's configured manually , but I've so many menu items on my site that I can not do this manually looking for a script or any fix like so..
