What methods is there to update stocklevels/inventory on VM2?

We don't sell products through vm2 at this time, it's either by email or phone.

So I would like to mass update stocklevels by file, for example excel, openoffice calc or csv.

Have tried import in HeidiSQL through import csv file, but that way I manage it to make new entries instead. So I can't update products that way?

phpMyAdmin, read about import of ods file, but does that update the stock levels?

CSVI 4, then I need to upgrade joomla to 1.7. Which I might do if I can update stock that way.

The program we use now which also handles our warehouse inventory, is a bit clumsy. I have to export our whole warehouse inventory into excel, and filter out the products we want to update stock on the web.

That program uses microsoft sql server, which would be awesome if I managed it to update mysql on the net perhaps twice a day. Not sure how that table looks like, and how problematic that is.

I'd use CSVI 4 - it is powerful and flexible. Works for me even in beta.

Joomla 1.5 goes end of life in 3 months, so maybe it is time to consider updating to J1.7/2.5

Oh, it's only 3 months left.

Then I will upgrade to 1.7, thank you for the heads up :)
