Good Day

I am a relative newcomer to Virtue Mart and need help with an issue that I am currently having.

I am stuck on a query that has really bowled me over. I have a few products listed on Virtue Mart platform and I have two groups namely: Wholesale and Retail.
How can I have the same product but two rates i.e. one for wholesale and the other for retail?

There are supposed to be 2 prices on the site to accommodate this, so if a regular shopper shops he sees retail, an when wholesaler log in they see both wholesale retail and buys on wholesale .
Also wholesalers must see qty in stock

Can anyone advise me in a good direction, where to start.

Thank You

I have done something like this, the only exception is that we don't show stock.

A wholesaler supplies to two types of retailer, one type is favoured and gets a lower price than non-favoured. The favoured knows how much the other retailers pay, but the non-favoured only see their price. The two types also have their own products templates, set as overrides.

On registration they are assigned to two different shopper groups. Each product is entered and then cloned. One of these is set to the non-favoured shopper group with the higher price, and their own template override which only shows the price they will pay.
The second favoured group has their favoured price entered, and the "non-favoured" rate is entered at the end of the product decription. This is set to the correct group and template. So both can see the same product but with different prices.

This uses different  templates because the lower prices were going to be set by a simple additional % discount, but this has changed as the discount varies depending on popularity and long term stock of product.

Stock control is handled by CSVI running twice a day. The wholesaler does not want the retailers to be aware of the total stock volumes available, and with a 4 week ship cycle this is not a problem.

Perhaps some clues here to how you could procede.
