FedEx LTL Integration with VirtueMart

I have a customer who wants real-time quotes from the FedEx LTL service. We are using Joomla with VirtueMart to handle the products. Has anyone worked on an integration that would do this? Or is anyone willing to take this on as a paid project?

I have a PDF from FedEx explaining how to post paramaters to a URL and get a quote back, formatted in XML. I have tested this and it works. I do not have the PHP expertise to integrate this in the checkout with VirtueMart. The quote would have to be parsed and the amount used as the shipping charge in the checkout process.

Any help would be appreciated.

Also looking for a solution for Fedex LTL.  I know this is an old thread but it would be very useful as the only way I ship is via LTL.
