export/import from VirtueMart to InDesign and Excel - anyone interested?

Hello,
we are really Virtuemart newbies.
 
You can see it from the emoticons we are using 
In the past months we studied its tables for a couple of our custom applications:
One that export and import every Virtuemart data (at least the data we have seen until today) to a single (very large) excel spreedsheet denormalized. Category, Description, Data type, etc...
Another that export the virtuemart catalog in a customizable InDesign document.
The application do the job good enough for our limited target.
Now we are wondering if we solved anything of common interest.
We'd like to release soon the Excel import/export utility for free. But we feel pretty far from a self-served and documented VirtueMart plugin, but we'd like to offer our limited expertise to other users, with free assistance, in order enrich our use cases.
Any suggestion on how to go on from here? 
Anyone interested in using (free of charge) this kind of functionalities in other real word virtuemart scenarios?
