Okay...Do you have goDaddy as your host?  Want USPS to work?  DO THIS!

1)  Go here: get the latest USPS Shipping module.  Currently version 4.1  If you have the old one..it won't work:  Follow the install instructions.  It is easy!
get it here: http://www.parkbeachsystems.com/latest/34-usps-module-for-virtuemart

2)  Next go Here: http://www.usps.com/webtools/to USPS and sign up for the Webtools.  THIS IS NOT TO BE CONFUSED with the regular log in.  The sign up is about half way down on the right hand side.

3)  You will be emailed the TESTING servers.  Blow this off..now email them back with the weird username and password they sent you and tell them to set it up live.

4)  When they send you BACK the info saying it is live go into the config of the NEW USPS module you installed and put THIS info in JUST LIKE I HAVE IT HERE!
NOTE: The production server does not require the http:// or https://

YES IT IS CASE SENSITIVE!
USPS Username: The one the sent you
USPS Password: The one they sent you
USPS Shipping Server: production.shippingapis.com

USPS Shipping Path: /ShippingAPI.dll.

Proxy Server: http://proxy.shr.secureserver.net:3128

5)  Test it...it should work...it worked for me.

Remember...THIS IS ONLY IF YOU HAVE goDaddy as your host.

Eric

Did anyone else get this re-written module to work?

It appears Godaddy no longer requires a proxy server to make the CURL request to the USPS. So are we going to see an update to this module that contains the code changes to reflect non-use of the following proxy server?

Also, who owns this proxy server?   http://proxy.shr.secureserver.net:3128/
