paypal checkout without paypal account

Previously when you got to the paypal payment screen it would say:

Pay with my PayPal account
OR
Pay with a debit or credit card If you don't have a PayPal account

On the site I am setting up  now the screen comes up with:

Pay with my PayPal account
OR
Create a PayPal account And pay with your debit or credit card

Create a paypal account is OPTIONAL on my pp profile, so why would it be doing this? Using payment methods that came with Virtuemart, and using VM 1.1.5 and joomla 1.5.21

Any ideas? The paypal guy I talked to said it has not changed.

Are you by any chance using the SUBSCRIBE function at PayPal?

If so, it won't let you just "purchase" a subscription.
It has to retain user ID so you can login and UNsubscribe (at some point)

Thank you for the reply. Not using the subscribe that you mention.

The weird thing is I am using the same paypal account on another site and it works fine. I don't have any idea why this site it's requiring a paypal account!

Update: I reinstalled vm and it seems to be working ok now.

Hi, is it possible to pay with creditcard on a virtuemart site, when i have a paypal business standard account, without users forced to register on paypal?

How can this be made? i am trying to make it 2 months now, without success.
