Greetings Virtuemart users,

I've just finished a Art Gallery site which i have been working on for a long time for a friend.
Check it out here: www.artumi.me.uk
Any improvements you guys can suggest?

Thanks.

I like the simple style although the black header looks a bit like a death notice (but only a little bit).

Check your design with the firefox browser, there are some errors in the flypage.

Thanks pgreen,
did you mean the browse page? cos i found the text overlaying the pics on it, but the flypage seemed alright.
Anyway, thanks again.

I also see that overlaying the image by the text issue with firefox.
& also make a new combination of color for your template aside from black.

I wouldn't follow the advice in that thread as it is not how you want to display your products, you want your description next to your image, the above thread will put it below.

Instead, set widths for the divs containing the image + description. Since your images are 142 px I suggest setting the div that contains the image to have a width of 152 px. either that or float the description div to the right.

I do agree about the template though. For an art gallery that has suggest interesting pictures for sale your layout is really bland, and it reminds me of oscommerce.

Perhaps create a header image, or add a gradiant background, or some colour tints? Anything to liven it up.
