Sorry, wrong analyze, you are in page 1.
Look at inside code.

But:
1. class active is on link for page two (there is no link) - error

2. Info about Site - Pagina 2 van 5 - is wrong - error

Pagination created template VP Smart - you have to ask his support.
I think, if you change template to default, pagination will be ok.

The problem is with the pagination URL but not with the styling. The active page does not need to have a link.

The problem has nothing to do with any template, and you can reproduce it even using the default Joomla template, which remains in VM 4.0.14. First, navigate to page number 2 or 3 or more, then try returning to page 1.

oh yes, jumbo, you are right, active link is right marked and without link.
hmm, if is not problem template then must be problem with core VM or Joomla

I had this issue on couple of websites which I migrated from J3-VM3 to J4-VM4.
I found quickest solution for it. I used following scroll plugin
https://extensions.joomla.org/extension/magic-scroller-for-virtuemart/
As it keeps on loading results on same page, there is no need of clicking on page 1. I used this plugin in the past, so I got in touch with dev and he provided me J4-VM4 compatible version of it. He didn't update description on JED but as I am using it on couple of website, I can confirm that it works well.
