after update to 4.0.12 some variants add to cart as free when not set that way

After upgrading to 4.0.12 we noticed that some of our items with variants are adding to the cart as free.  Only some of our products were affected like this.  The vast majority are fine, but a selection of about eight products a displaying zero price on specific variants.  You can see what I am talking about in the screencast video below:

Hmm strange case. And both child products have just no price set? Or one time no price set and the other time a 0 price?

n the case of any of these that are having issues, the prices are set on the parent item, and there are no prices set on the child items. In other words, the price for all Apex Grand models are set on the parent item with no prices set on any of the child items.

Open and save the Parent item, the price child items on the site is restored.
I already wrote about this bug, but none of the developers VM reacted.
