PHP Error upgrading from 7.4 to 8.x

PHP Version    7.4.33

Only recently received the message about PHP7.4 not being security updated.   I enabled PHP 8.x on my server and it seems that the only error I am getting is when I go to update an order status.   IT comes back with "An error has occurred"  then: ` Attempt to modify property "cartPrices" on nul  '
with a button " Return to Control Panel"   (see attached picture)

At this stage it is the only error I have come across (at this stage) and we use the funtion quite a bit so out customers can track the status of their orders.

Have reverted back to 7.4 until I can find the solution.

VM4.0.10 should be released very soon with fixes for PHP8.2

hmm, the error is unknown to me. Please check your error logs in vm. just to go tools and check the virtuemart log there. maybe therer is a trace.
