VM4 new installation - Can't add and configure shipment method or payment method

Hi Folks,

I have newly installed Joomla v4.2.5, current Flex template, and VirtueMart v4.0.8 to create a web site.  The modest VirtueMart store is set up with only two (2) items, and I think most other important parameters have been configured.  Unfortunately I am not able to add either a Payment Method or Shipment Method in the backend.  For example, go to the Payment Method management screen and click New.  Give the method a name, select PayPal Standard, for example, then Save.  At this point, Joomla spins its wheels until timing out after 60 seconds.  I turned on some debugging switches and did the same set of steps, then grabbed the two (2) attached screen shots.

If, instead, I try to add a Shipment Method, USPS, for example, it does exactly the same thing: timeout after 60 seconds in the exact same part of the Form.php code - at or near line 1399.

Is there a common problem causing both crashes?

Has anyone seen this before and have a solution?

I am only somewhat familiar with Joomla web sites, so can really use some help.  Thank you very much.

That bug was fixed weeks ago. Try the current release of VM4.0.10

Thank you for pointing out the newer version of VM.  That fixed the problem.  Thanks, too, to some of your other answers to others' questions.  My store configuration is fine tuned and running.  Have a good day!
