Problems with stockhandling

Hi!

I have an urgent problem with VM's stockhandling.

J! 3.9.13
VM 3.6.10
Php 7.2.18

Settings are:

Stockhandling on product level  ==>  Displays 'Notify Me' instead of 'Add To Cart' button

Anyhow VM accepts orders for products out of stock like here:

The stock for this product is 0. anyhow a shopper bought and the stocklevel in backend show -1.

You can add 1 to the cart. Trying to add three, it is reduced to "max. 1"

what are your Action when a Product is Out of Stock settings?

-1 on booked indicates that you have updated the stock with cancel or similar, when there was nothing booked.
Have you some custom order states that will update stock in the wrong way ?
Overpurchase does not do this, cancelling an order the wrong way might.
