VirtueMart Control Panel Very Slow

Hi,

I'm running VM 3.4.2 / 3.9.0 Joomla and I cannot seem to work out why the back end is taking so long to respond. Not matter which VM menu item I select it takes up to 2 - 3 minutes to return the page. If I click on any other Joomla admin menu it returns within 2 seconds.

The front shop on the live site works perfectly. I also have another installation of VM on the same server but under a different URL and it runs perfect.

The only difference I can think of is that I imported the products (176 of them) using a spreadsheet import called CSVI Pro using these headings:

product_name   product_desc   product_in_stock   product_price   product_tax   product_sku   category_id   published

If anyone can help me I would be very grateful.

what research have u done? logs? debug?  network tab of console?
