Currency Conversion Override Not Working

Hi,

I have cloned my UK (GBP) site to use for Ireland with some changes, the main one being using Euros.

In my IE site (Euros) I have set the default currency as Euro, this results in the GBP price being converted by default to Euros at the European Central Bank (ECB) dynamic rate for the day.
However I wish to override ECB dynamic rate and set my own.
I have done this in virtuemart>configuration>currencies>euro and set my own rate, however the rate still defaults to the ECB dynamic rate.
How can I override this ECB rate?

It is my understanding that the ECB dynamic rate would be over written if the 'Exchange Rate' was changed from zero.#

Any help / ideas greatly appreciated.

looks like I may of sorted this!
It seems that I needed to place the conversion rate into the GBP currency and not the Euro.

A bit confusing as the back-end product view still shows the 'cost price' in GBP (which is what i want), and so I assumed (incorrectly!) that the conversion was to take place in Euros, however as the default currency is set to Euro, the conversion happens via GBP.
