State Drop Down Not Working

Hello,

I have a problem and none of the solutions found here helped me: the states for country do not show up,  and I checked jquery, ajax for country/state, i check for conflicts and switched off optimization of js and jquery of the template.. nothing worked,I even installed VM from scratch!!! i tried every solution from this forum  but nothing seems to work, please help

I'm using Joomla! 3.5.1 and VM 3.0.6.4.

There may have been a bug in VM3.0.6.4, which is more than a year old. You should be using VM3.0.16 with Joomla3.5.1  http://dev.virtuemart.net/projects/virtuemart/files

Test the update first on a backup of your live site.

Thanks but i have already tried updating  to the latest version but still does not work

You have a JavaScript problem, you are not loading chosen.jquery.min.js so the dropdowns will not work.

Assuming you now use VM3.0.16 in Configuration/Templates/Activate Css Styles & Javascripts try turning on "Use jQuery chosen for dropdowns in FE"
