Order ID Auto increment

Hi All,

I am trying to set up a new site that will connect to our existing systems and populate a database. The system works fine except that I need new an unique virtuemart_order_id rather than have them start at 1. Can the AUTO_INCREMENT be changed so that I can start at higher number? Is there a way of setting it to 1 higher than the last order so they don't over lap?
