Pagination issue

In vm config i have set pagination steps to "10,25,50,100" to all options (even inside category options).

When selecting 25 i get the correct url (results,1-25) but the select box shows 24 and 24 products are loded in the page
selecting 50 gives 48 as result
selecting 100 gives 99 as result

How can i fix this?

I use VM 3.0.8 and Joomla 3.4.4

P.S. I have found  a function that supposingly fixes this behaviour at line 749 of vmmodel.php but it was already there.
