VM 3.0.9 and Joomla 3.4.1: adding discount to existing order in backend is ignored

Hello All,

running Virtuemart 3.0.9 on Joomla 3.4.1.

I need to add a discount to an existing order in the admin backend. When opening the order and clicking the "Edit" icon, the order line gets into edit mode and offers the possibility to enter a discount in the field named "Discount" (between Tax and Total).

After entering a discount amount (product price is 100, discount is 10) and saving the changes with the "Save" button, the discount appears in the changed line, but does neuther change the product total nor does it change the order total.

I've checked the checkbox "calculate" under the "Tax" column, both for the product line and the total line, without any effect.

Is this a bug or a feature (I hope not!).

I've tried back and forth using negative and positive discounts, both not giving a reasonable result.

Deleting the values (except item price) and checking the "calculate" button also does "something" with the bill, but nothing I was able to say it is the "right" calculation.

Has anyone done this before and manually added a discount to an existing order in the backend?

yepp, you must empty the fields you want to get calculated, or so.
