Installation Fatal error

I have searched the forum for fstsl error reports, however, i've located nothing. I am new to virtuemart and everytime i try and install the Virtuemart 3 core packet i get this error message:
Fatal error: Interface 'JObservableInterface' not found in D:\Hosting\7537402\html\tamebutter\administrator\components\com_virtuemart\helpers\vmtable.php on line 48

I cant seem to locate a solution for this, and am hoping that someone in the forum may be able to help. Thanks

Issues with JObservableInterface have never been reported here before.

But you provide little information. Exactly which VirtueMart,  Joomla and PHP versions are you using. Please be exact. Is this on a Windoze host?
