Pending status + slow cart

Hello, i have a problem with the status of my orders. I've noticed the last few orders made in my site have not changed their statud to 'confirmed' when paid by paypal. I've tried to change the status manually in the backend but i can't, it doesn't let me. I've been using the Paypal's plugin for a long time and it's always worked very well.

I've also noticed that my shopping cart is extremely slow. It's always been really fast but i've no idea why now it takes about two or three minutes to get to checkout (it 's VM's cart). I don't know if both issues are related, but they both have appeared at the same time. I haven't installed or changed anything recently.

Hopefully can someone please help?

I'm using Joomla 2.5 (latest) and VM 2.0.20b

You are using a very old and insecure version of VirtueMart. Updating VM will install the latest Paypal plugin which may resolve your problem, but test on a backup copy of your site first.  http://forum.virtuemart.net/index.php?topic=118683.0

Thank you very much. It was a problem with my hosting, it's solved now. Anyway, i'm following you advice concerning the update.
