VM 3.0.2. categories pages are BLANK !!!

Hello,

I have a mainmenu with links to VM Categories but, even if I change the templates, these pages are BLANK.

It is driving me crazy !!!

I paid attention to choose CATEGORIES for each menu item and also to chooe CATEGORIES in VM config (tab TEMPLATE). But nothing is working.

I am using JOOMLA 3.3.6
PHP 5.4.34
VM 3.0.2

The categories item type link is not functional for new sites, as has been reported here many times. It may be there is only because an old site has been updated and there is still a categories directory in the view/tmpl directory or using a commercial template where the directory structure is no longer correct. Use item type CATEGORY.

I am sorry, I don't get it ? Can you give me details ?

What am I supposed to do ?
Create a new menu item ?
Delete folders ?
Change the code ?

Because when I try to create a new menu item, I can only chose a VM CATEGORY, there is no other choice in the list ??
Even for the layout choice in the new menu Item (VM Category), I can choose DEFAULT or CATEGORIES layout, nothing else...

Sorry I am asking such details but I am struggling with this and don't know how to finally have my categories published right.

screenshots? your talking about categories and then category . what are you trying to achieve?

Actually, this is what you can see if you click on the category menu item :
1. PRODUCTS NOT VISIBLE


2. CATEGORIES VISIBLE ()



So now, this is :
- VM PRODUCTS CATEGORIES SETTING


- JOOMLA MENU ITEM CONFIG


-VM CONFIGURATION / TEMPLATE TAB


The problem is the same even if I change the templates.

So can you PLEASE help me ?

1. switch off sef - how can u see what is happening with the urls completely masked???

2. jenks has already told you - categories don't exist as a view - but who can know what your menu is?
by screen shots I meant your menu config

3. afaik VM doesn't show products that are in sub categories - does this top cat have any prods or are they all in sub categories
if you want to show all products in a category and its subcats I always apply a hack
