pricing vat per country

how can we get virtuemart to show prices based on countries (vat)?

For instance we have to vat greenland for 0% and denmark for 25% and we have to get a 0% tax on the invoice for greenland. and the 25% tax on the invoice for denmark.

problem: not being logged on you are anonymous, and a default tax rule should apply for this group... but. when logged on, this taxrule should not apply for greenland, and we cannot do this with a counter rule, reducing the tax, becouse this will show up on the invoice... we have been at this for days, but no answer...

The default vat rule we have working is for everyone but anonymous, and then the cart shows the good values, also the invoices, but when not logged on, the website does not show the vat-added prices becouse the rule does not apply to anonymous...

a bit of a cirlce we are in...

You could use this plugin in combination with a GeoIP locator to show rates even if not logged in.  http://extensions.virtuemart.net/all-tutorials/19-shopper-fields-plugins/17-eu-vat-checker

well, showing prices incl vat is not the biggest problem. (though it would be nice) Getting the VAT out when checking out from greenland is. vm should be able to do this with its calculation rules.

exactly at what time do you go from anonymous to default group for VM, when entering your country??

Once having entered their billing details including country and hitting the register or check out as guest button the shopper changes from anonymous (ie unknown) to default and right tax can be shown. With the above plugin and GeoIP the tax can be shown automatically without having to register first, as their country can be determined from the IP.
