new installation problem

I upload and install com_virtuemart.3.0.0.tar

i get this error

Joomla 3.1.1???  Not surprisingly VM3 has not even been tested with such an old and insecure J3 version. For security reasons (if for nothing else) you should be using Joomla 3.3.6
