Child products not selectable

Hi all, I have had a quick look around the forum but can't find an answer to this:

I have created a product (TShirt) with child products as sizes (small med large etc).

The child products are showing within the main product but when I select any of the sizes, the dropdown menu jumps straight back to the top item which is 'Choose a variant first'.

I haven't used Virtuemart for a while and their have been some big changes, am I doing something wrong in the new version as this has always worked previously in older versions

Any help is appreciated.

I may not have the answer but others may.


* Could you maybe - state what version you are using ? MV 2+ Joomla etc .
Give an image of how it might be set up.? The more descriptive the easier for someone who has a familiar or similar problem.

Hi Im running Joomla 2.5.24. VM is 2.6.10.

The rest is as stated really

Just a drop down menu for the sizes, which is showing fine. But each time I go to select each one it jumps to the 'choose variant first' menu item.
This in turn won't let me proceed to the order as I haven't ordered anything due to the dropdown not working!!

I can't understand where I am going wrong or what else I need to do to activate it!
