pass a value from product details into cart

Hello,

I have create a input type=number in product details and I want to pass that value when we click "Add to Cart" button into Cart.
Can somebody help by telling me which files should I look into to declare my value ?..
Or give me an example ?

How you created your input?
There are custom fields for that.

Check the "customer text input" custom field
If this does not fit you, you can modify it or develop a new one
