Update error : -1 - An error has occurred. Copy failed

Hi all!

Got a strange problem today. I'm running VirtueMart 2.6 and i'm trying to update to 2.6a. The live update is not working. I got this error : Unable to write entry
Extracting the update package failed. Please try updating the extension manually.

So I tried to download the package and update manualy, but I got this error : -1 - An error has occurred. Copy failed.

Now the VirtueMart menu under components disapear and the Admin Menu plugiin doesn't work either. VirtueMart seems to be fine. It seems to work in the front end and I can access the back end by going directly to /administrator/index.php?option=com_virtuemart . It keep telling me that my version is 2.6 and that an update is available.

Any help would be great on that! Thanks!

it's for joomla 3 but the same for J2.5

at least then you know why it won't copy..  normally permissions on the files or folders
