Help! Categories ordering

Hello everybody,
I am making an e-commerce website for a client who asked me if it is possible to order a certain category list by number of products that each one contains... The more a certain category contains products, the more it stands upper like, for example:

I have two categories, each one contains 10 subcategories. I want to order in the way I described before only the first one like:
- School products:
- - pens (45 products)
- - pencils (32 products)
- - cutter (14 products)
- -etc.

- Miscellaneus:
- - (keep order by name)

Can anyone help me please?

Clients just love to come up with silly and obscure ideas... 

Doubt there is any setting or config in VM to do this - you would have to recode any views that need this
