Discounting Products for time period

Is there a way to discount a product and set a start and end date for the sale?

On the Product Information tab enter an override price & set the start & end date (using the calendar fields that have - Never - in them by default.)

Because it isn't labelled, it's tough to know what if effects. I'll give it a shot!

you have my sympathy re labelling... about as clear as mud for most first time VM users as are quite a few of the settings
