Hello,

Question like the subject.
I'm trying to install VM 2.0.26d on Joomla! 1.5.26 and after installation I'm getting blank screen.
Component appears in administration menu but when trying to open it screen is also getting blank. Same for AIO component. Any ideas what's wrong, compatibility?

Thanks for help in advance.

BR,
Marcin

Thanks but that's recommendation. What are minimal requirements?
Simple question: should VM 2.0.26d work on Joomla! 1.5.26?

You can install it but it will not work properly.

2.0.26d will not work on J1.5 as that old Joomla version does not have ACL for 2.0.26d to work with. It should be possible to hack the VM core files to remove/disable the ACL function but AFAIK nobody has attempted it before.

I believe VM versions below 2.0.20 may install as those did not have ACL, but versions below 2.0.22c are known to have critical security issues. And versions from 2.0.14 onwards did include some J2.5 specific code  so versions after 2.0.12 therefore may not work correctly.  Also third party plugins for VM2 are generally designed for Joomla 2.5 as there is little point in in third party developers providing plugins for no-longer supported Joomla versions.

We would not recommend using VM1.1.9 as it is no longer supported.  https://forum.virtuemart.net/index.php?topic=106865.0
