2.0.7f generic child variants. Checked display parent as option - not displaying

Just downloaded 2.0.7f. I see the check box in the back end that allows the option to display the parent product as an option. However when I check the box and refresh the frontend the parent is not displayed in the dropdown menu. (empties my cache and still no show) Either way you can still add the parent to the cart just by hitting add to cart since you are defaulted into the parent. There is also still the problem that when you try to choose the 1st listed child you can't - there is no page refresh. Is only becomes selectable if you first choose something else from the dropdown list.

Same problem here. Additionally the text "Array" stays in front of the dropdown list.

I am sorry, we did not mention. This part is still WIP. I just added the option and storing of this, while openglobal is now implementing the effect.

I have just installed rev 6164 from the SVN. The option "display the parent product as an option" is working fine now. But when I disable this option the cart variants of the first child product are only shown when I first change to the the second child product and after select again the first child product in the dropdown list. (see first post of this topic)

i am using virtuemart 2.0 and joomla 2.5. I also have this problem. How can it be fixed?

Anyways I am using the latest virtuemart. 2.0.20b and still cant resolve the issue.

Same issue remains in 2.024C.

1- Add to cart becomes "choose a product variant first" in the parent product.

2 - First child product although pre-selected in screen cant be chosen, the price and URL are from the parent product.

You have to choose another child and then back to the first one in order to show the correct info for the first child product.
