Stock Level doesnt move but Inventory does

Dear all,

I am on virtuemart build 24c and what seems to be happening is people can come on and order something - on Inventory the number reduces but on stock level it stays the same -

HOW can this be fixed as it is causing some serious issues.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
