SSL and product name issues - PayPal

Hi, I find that when I disable the SSL function from the Virtuemart backend, I will receive an error email notification after a transaction that is completed through PayPal as follows:
Posting IPN 時錯誤: Unable to find the socket transport "ssl" - did you forget to enable it when you configured PHP?, 408.

On the other hand, after a buyer who completes his transaction through PayPal, it looks like that Virtuemart is unable to pass the product name parameter to PayPal. As a result, when the buyer receives the email notification from PayPal in which no product name can be shown in the email notification.

Anyone knows how to solve the above issues?
