Getting this error for my website whenever I am trying to view the products

I am getting the below error on the backend of my site whenever I am trying to view or edit a product.  I am using Joomla 2.5 and Virtuemart 2.0.24b.

Fatal error: Call to undefined method shopFunctionsF::getMenuItemId() in /home/vinylcho/public_html/administrator/components/com_virtuemart/views/product/view.html.php on line 225

looks like your update was not done completly, maybe you use something like akeeba installer? disable it for updating vm

Okay I can try that.  I was not the one that did the update so I do not have the files or anything.  So how can i go about installing the new version?

You read the manual, but in short, download the latest from virtuemart.net and just install it via the joomla installer.
