Update 2.0.24 has caused one of the default languages to have no products or cat

After update 2.0.24 with joomla 2.5.16 the categories and products no longer show for the front end, everything is ok in the back end front end individual products give a 404 error and the categories page display the following Category id 0 not published.

I restored to previous version before upgrade and everything works fine so definitely a bug in 2.0.24. Is their any fix yet?

From which version did you update?
Looks for me like an seo error, please disable SEF for testing.

I tried to update it through virtuemart and gave me an invalid token for shop error and the update did not proceed. I had to update it through extension manager got no errors after install. but then the english side of things got broken but only with virtuemart. I updated a similar site through joomla and have encountered no problems, so my guess is that something goes wrong after a manual update.

Just had to recreate menu item for shop in all and the problem language.
