VM 2.x cart like in 1.x WITH STEPS 1,2,3,4

Hi all.
I'm developer with some experience but this problem is making me crazy

Recently my client want checkout steps 1,2,3,4 with

1: basket >
2: Login/Register >
3: type addres >
4: confirmation page

Simple like in old version of VM.

How can i do it?
