Hi,

I'm new with VirtueMart and have a problem with the installatopn of VirtueMart 2.0.24.

I set up a completely new local Joomla installation with Joomla 2.5.14

The installation of "com_virtuemart.2.0.24.tar.gz" was successful and looks complete.

When I try to install "com_virtuemart.2.0.24_ext_aio.tar.gz" the system stops on
".../administrator/index.php?option=com_installer&view=install" and shows just a white screen.

Perhaps somebody knows what I made wrong.

Best Regards

Do you have enough space on the server?

A white screen in Joomla usually indicates a 500 error, so check the server error log for any indication of the cause.

I have exact the same problem here.
Joomla 2.5.14 & VirtueMart 2.0.24
The installation of com_virtuemart.2.0.24_ext_aio.tar.gz shows after few seconds a white screen.
I have checked the error_log on my server, there is nothing.. have enough space (12GB) on the server.

You are installing using Joomla's Extensions manager?

There may be a problem with handling the large tar.gz file if the PHP resources on your server are set very low. You can then extract the files locally, use ftp to upload to the server
and then install from directory. See  http://www.phoca.cz/phocagallery/478-how-to-install-large-components-with-help-of-ftp-in-joomla  and  http://www.phoca.cz/phocagallery/478-how-to-install-large-components-with-help-of-ftp-in-joomla

If you don't have a tool to unpack the tar package locally then grab the zip package from http://dev.virtuemart.net/projects/virtuemart/files and unpack/upload that instead.
