Blank Page on Save Changes to Vendor

I am new to Joomla and VirtueMart but feel I'm beginning to get it. I have run into a problem that I cannot seem to find any answer for. I am using Joomla 2.5.14 with VM 2.0.22c. My problem is when I make changes to anything in the vendor area and click to save, it goes to a blank page and saves nothing. I can hit the back button and go back to the same place but nothing else. I'm sure it is something simple but as I said, I am a newbie.  :( Thought was a good move changing to VM and still do if I can just get a handle on it

I have checked and I am set up as vendor and all vendor info is filled in. I had it saved but need to make changes.

A blank page is often the result of a 500 error so check your server error log for details of that error.

I checked the log and could not find anything related to this issue so I tried again. It did the same thing so I then went back and checked to see if it added an entry to the log. It did not. I am at a loss.

I know this would not be a fix but I found the table which holds the info and made manual changes there. This is not the ideal way but it worked. Would still like to fix this if can.

UPDATE: It was something to do with the database. I uploaded a dbase backup and that issue went away but now nothing will add to cart. Guess going to loose two weeks work. Only thing I know to do is start over from scratch with a fresh install and hope that I do not have this problem again. Not good.

I used Magento for the last year but was plagued with constant problems. Am brand new to Joomla and VM. Seems more stable but have to learn it.

You could restore your work from backup.

It's a reminder to make frequent backups!
