product with two Attributes

hi, I am having some difficulties create a attribute combination  with two attributes.

The first attribute is a shape with 12 options and should be represented by an image and depending on the selected shape a certain set of sizes should become available in the second attribute. Depending on the size selected there will be a price break. 

Not sure what combination of custom fields to use. Thought I could use the image type custom field for shapes but since you can't make it a parent I am not sure how to group it together with the second attribute (size).

I suppose the crux here is that depending on chosen shape only a certain number of sizes should become available.  Probably straight forward - but I am new to VM2 so a helping hand would be most welcome!

I would be most interested in the answer to the question above, as well.  I'm trying to set up attributes for judo gis - size, color, quantity of each size/color, and price.

Combination of child positions with addition of other custom fields could do this business. No? A url to attempt of constructing this mini project worth a dozen of words.
