Only read client fields BUG?

Hello all,

I'm trying to create a site with Virtuemart but i'm bumping in a problem. My goal is to sell product trough Joomla with VM2 so that customers kan register and view their account details and previous orders.

In the account detail page i would like to have a only read view so that they can only see their account details and they can't adjust it. But when i use the only read button trough backend you can't fill in the information on registration which is necessary.

How can i solve this problem?

Summary: ONLY READ on account detail only not on registration page.

Why do you want this? Do you fear they can change theyr order data? They cannot! The order data is always stored plain in the db. Only you can change it.

No I don't want that they can change the adress or name. Because i'm selling insurances and all the details can't be change after buying a insurance.

That is plain written in the order, only you can change it. You dont need to worry. Try it yourself, just create an order AS normal shopper. not as admin. Then change your account data and check as admin the order, you will still see the old data there. I think that is important to have a legal shop.
