Plugin for product locking

Hi all,
I have developed a plugin for locking a product when is added to the cart and to unlock it when is dropped from the cart.
This plugin is intended for shops where some products are stocked in one piece (handcraft, for example) and the administrator want that only a single customer may put the product in cart and buy it.

I have tested the plugin in a real life stressed site, with success, now I would like to offer this feature but I need to add a hook in the main source, do you think it worth it?
This plugin may be useful for other shop?
