I am glad to see that the new 2.0 software is a lot easier to set up by the old one. I really am very impressed, congratulations to the developers. Anyway, to get the point of this message. I run a couple of shops for mates, one of which sells clothing, the other one sells deactivated ammunition, bullets, bombshells etc. I been using the old version of Virtuemart for a number of years now and setting up the shipping process has always been an absolute pain in the backside, and to be honest I've never been able to get it right. We don't normally have a problem with one or two orders, but as soon as someone puts more than three orders in the cart, it just does not calculate the shipping price properly. I'm hoping that the new software will overcome this problem for me. I was very close to moving onto a completely different shopping system, however I am willing to give this updated version a final go

Okay, so let's say we have three orders, I Harrington jacket, a pair of boots, and a pair of trousers. Normally we would charge £4.99 for a pair of boots, however that price would obviously have to be a little bit more if somebody ordered multiple items. Can someone advise me on how I go about setting the car top so it will calculate multiple orders.

With that sort of product, weights would probably be the best way to go. With the standard weight/zip/country plugin you can do thsi and use multiple instances of the plugins to cover each weight total range. You just have to plan your ranges/prices beore starting the setup. The appropriate range will be selected at checkout.
