Failed to access VirtueMart(The website encountered an error while retrieving..)

Hi folks,

I got the following error when accessing the site menu (front end) that triggers the presentation of the store in my front-end:

The website encountered an error while retrieving <--- my url --->. It may be down for maintenance or configured incorrectly.

Is there any special configuration that must be done in a Joomla Server hosted in Amazon? I've copied my files to another server and I am not experiencing the same problem there. My amazon server is a Linux red hat with Joomla! 2.5.9, VirtueMart 2.0.20b, php 3.5.23 and mysql i5.5-1.3 respectively.

Could anyone give me a suggestion on where does the problem lies ?
