cannot load user 319

I have installed VM on my joomla site and am trying to set the sop up however I cannot do anything as when it loads it says 'cannot load user 319' and will not save any changes.

does anyone know a fix for this? I have gone into phpmyadmin and changed the superuser id from 42 to 319 but it is still showing on joomla backend as 42?

please help!
