Move media between locations

Hi all!

First let me just say I truly enjoy working with VirtueMart as a professional programmer.
We use it to build most of our webshops for our customers.

Now one of our customers has been filling his new webshop with all kinds of media, and he uploaded a lot of images as category-images.
This wouldn't be a problem normally, but he meant those images to be used as product-images.
Is there any way these images can be moved? I could simpy move the files and the resized images, but then I get all sorts of errors (of course) because now the database isn't in sync.

Does anyone know of any solution other than manually reuploading all images as product-images?
We're using the latest version (2.0.20b )
