VIRTUEMART SITE MAPPING

Another simple question... I have seen several videos on youtube that basically say that site mapping on virtuemart is about a 15 minute job once you have downloaded a plug in, I wont give any names, but you know what I mean.  Is it really that easy or does it take more like several hours to do properly which is what I have hears elsewhere?
