Hello Guys,

I can't figure out how to set the page title and meta description for a "top level" menu. The title and meta data of the joomla menu are ignored.

Any ideas?

Kind regards,

have you looked in the category?
Hi Pro,

Thx for the reply, this is not a category. Let me try to explain.

I have created a menu with the following settings:

  • Menu type = category layout
  • Selected category = top level category

This menu is pointing to the root of the category's. There is no way (that i know) to set the title and meta.

Kind regards,

I was to limeted in design and functions. I wanted a page with articles / images / populair products etc the default frontpage did not give me enough flexibility

Thx for the headsup AH

That scares me a bit to be honest ... i have read allot about this addon and gone trough documentation and video's and it all seemed usefull. Ill give you guys a update on this extention and how it works.

Main reason why i want this product is because i can rewrite URL's an create a alias for url's. Redirect 404 pages, keep track of performance and the security features that it offers. Currently when i add a product i am always adding a menu because i want to setup the URL specificly.

The title and meta data of the joomla menu are ignored.

So I would say the meta data is missing for that case. Just a matter of priority to fix that.
