Unable to write archive on installation

Hi
i've downloaded the com virtuemart, i've extract the files, when i try to install the first file i've the error "unable to write archive"
I've find error like this on google, but i've not find nothing about virtuemart, and i've no find the solution.
Someone can say me where is the problem?

unable to write archive error usually means that host directory/file permissons are incorrect or not enough disk space. This is with Joomla 2.5.11?

Yes, it is with Joomla 2.5.11, I've just check the directory permission (on informations system of joomla) and they are all green and writable.
So i've check the disk space. The db space was ok, but the web space was running out (i don't know the reason, and now i need check also this).
I've increased the webspace, and now i've the "500 error - Server internal error"...

The reason for a 500 error will be recorded in the server error log, so have a look there.
